Radio Frequency -venus Viva (MP)²

  • DAY 1 TO 7 – The healing time for any given treatment varies between different clients. The following represents the general recovery phases you might expect. Individual clients may experience variations from this course.
  • Swelling/Discomfort/Redness: – Swelling of your wrinkles occurs immediately. While it is possible for patients to experience swelling in the under-eye area for the first day, this swelling will subside. For the first three hours, there will be redness and slight heat emanation from the treated area. It is unusual to experience severe or excessive pain; let us know if this occurs. Bruising is not common; let us know if this occurs. You should notify us if you experience pain that is severe or excessive, as this is unusual.
  • Post-treatment redness is mild, and you may return to regular activities immediately. If you experience mild heat emanating from the treated area, this is normal—do not apply ice or cooling compresses, as the heat being produced in the treated area is your body’s natural healing response.
  • Moisturiser should be applied regularly throughout the course of your treatment series, and it may be applied immediately after each treatment.
  • Make-up can be applied immediately after each treatment. Do not sleep with makeup on the treated area. It is important to remove all make-up that is applied to the skin at night.
  • Avoiding direct sun should become a permanent component of your long-term skin care program. Always use a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or greater, even on cloudy days, regardless of season.
  • In addition to avoiding direct sun exposure, we suggest all clients use long-term skin care that will optimize the youthful, rejuvenated appearance you have achieved.
  • To enhance the results of the treatments, we recommend that you maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Gaining weight during your treatment series could compromise your end results.
  • WARNING SIGNS – The following are some of the symptoms that should alert you to the possibility of an impending or existing complication and you should contact the clinic: Infection may be present if you notice:
    (i) Increased (rather than decreasing) facial swelling after the first 24 – 36 hours.
(ii) Redness spreading beyond the area of resurfacing, that is warm and tender to touch.

Radio Frequency – NANO FRACTIONAL

  • DAY 1 TO 5 – The healing time for any given treatment varies between different clients.  The following represents the general recovery phases you might expect. Individual clients may experience variations from this course.
  • Swelling/Discomfort/Redness:Swelling of your wrinkles occurs immediately.  Significant swelling and redness of the treated areas and untreated parts may occur following your procedure, and will be maximal at 24 – 48 hours. To minimise swelling, keep your head elevated. It is not uncommon for clients to experience under-eye swelling for the first 1 to 2 days, but this swelling will subside.
  • There will be redness and slight heat emanating from the treated area for the first 24 hours, similar to a mild sunburn. It is unusual to experience severe or excessive pain; you should notify us if this occurs.
  • Tiny scabs will usually be formed 24 – 72 hours post-treatment, and may remain for several days. The scabs should not be touched or scratched even if they itch, and should be allowed to shed off naturally.
  • Some mild discomfort may occasionally follow resurfacing treatment. You may return to regular activities immediately.
  • It is advised that you avoid hot baths, saunas, Jacuzzis, and pools for the first week following treatment, as the bacteria common to these sites can affect the skin post-resurfacing and cause an infection.
  • Some minor heat emanating from the treated area is normal, but please do not apply ice or cooling compresses, as that heat is the body’s natural healing response.
  • No skincare should be applied for 24hours post treatment.  This includes cleansing.
  • After 24 hours, most resurfacing clients are ready for makeup to hide the pinkness of the skin. If applied, it is important that you remove all makeup from the skin at night. Do not sleep with make up on the treated area.
  • Avoiding direct sun should become a permanent component of your long-term skin care program. Always use an SPF 30 or greater beginning 24 – 48 hours after the skin has fully healed. Sun exposure, tanning beds, and artificial sunless tanning lotions are not allowed in the treated areas during the course of the treatment and healing
  • WARNING SIGNS – The following are some of the symptoms that should alert you to the possibility of an impending or existing complication and you should contact the clinic: Infection – may be present if you notice: (i) Increased (rather than decreasing) facial swelling after the first 24 – 36 hours.  (ii) Redness spreading beyond the area of resurfacing, that is warm and tender to touch.

Cryotherapy

  • The histamine in the area treated will create an itchy sensation for about ten minutes, do not worry this – it is perfectly normal.
  • The area treated will look inflamed and can also be red.
  • Blistering can happen with any cryotherapy treatment and is indiscriminate. You will have signed the consent form to show that you are aware of this. The blister may last anything from a few hours to a few days.
  • If a blister does appear;
  • Leave it alone don’t pop it, it will go down on its own…
  • If it pops; weeping may occur, you can use a non-alcoholic baby wipe to remove any debris from the area affected should the blister burst. It is also advisable to use a smear of antiseptic cream twice a day. An adhesive dressing such as a plaster can be used to cover the area.
  • Do not pick the treated area at any time after treatment, your treatment will take longer to heal. If a wheal/scab is knocked off accidentally it will also take longer to heal, but you should still have a successful outcome.

Skin Tags

These turn black at the base and drop off over a period of one to six weeks. Larger skin tags 3mm+ may need a second freeze

Warts

May need more than one treatment. It is recommended if they remain, that warts may be retreated after 4 weeks following your first treatment.

Milia

These superficial keratin filled epidermal cysts these normally flatten and disappear with Cryotherapy.

Pigmentation/Cherry Angiomas

The treated area may become raised, slightly inflamed and look like a bee sting. This is perfectly normal, it will go down in a few hours. Over the next 24 hours the area will go darker and create a small crust on the surface do not pick off. When it naturally falls off you will see new skin (shiny pink) this is not scarring. It will re pigment over the following weeks.

General healing expectations

If the small crust has not fallen off after four weeks please wait until it has done before contacting the clinic. Skin sometimes takes longer to regenerate.

If the skin being treated is tanned please remember it will remove the tan and re pigment to the original skin colour

Any treatments that do not heal after six weeks should be reviewed by your doctor or dermatologist.

If your immune system is in any way compromised, this may affect healing or possibly mean that the area treated may need further treatment. This may be as a result of a condition that you are not actually aware of or that has been formally medically diagnosed.

How to look after your treated area

Please use a sunblock (Minimum factor 30) on any pigmentation removal until it has re-pigmented, this may take up to eight weeks. Do not pick the area.

You can continue to use make up, deodorant’s or perfumes on treated areas, but try and leave for as long as you can on the day of treatment. PLEASE CONTACT US  IF THE TREATED AREA IS WEEPING 2 WEEKS FOLLOWING TREATMENT.
